Miss Indiana State Fair 2013 is Mariah Huff of Brownstown Indiana – the first representative of Jackson County to reign as the Indiana State Fair Queen in the contest’s 55-year history. The daughter of Melissa Huff and the late Richie Huff is a 21 year-old junior at Purdue University majoring in Agriculture Education and minoring in Agribusiness Management.
Miss Huff is a 10-year 4-H alumnus, former 4-H Junior Leader and 4-year FFA member. She is also a member of the National Junior Swine Association and the American Berkshire Association, previously serving as the 2009 Indiana Berkshire Queen. Mariah is the recipient of numerous scholarships, and at Purdue, is an executive member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority, Block & Bridle Club and the Indiana Association of Agriculture Educators.
Mariah’s interests include showing swine and Boer goats, promoting agriculture, horseback riding, assisting current 4-H members, watching basketball and traveling.
As the 55th Indiana State Fair Queen, Miss Huff will visit approximately 35 county fairs, festivals and queen pageants in June and July promoting the 2013 Indiana State Fair before serving as Official Hostess of the annual event, August 2-18
