Celebration Awards, presented by Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance
The Indiana State Fair has revamped the ‘traditional’ 4-H Sale of Champions event to better recognize and reward the hard work of our 4-H competitors. After meeting with interested groups from around the state over the past year, a committee of State Fair Board directors and full-time staff implemented a new program that combines monetary awards from ISF funding, premiums and the market value of each project. The event will now be known as the Indiana State Fair Celebration Awards, presented by Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance. The program’s new structure eliminates the need for 4-H youth and their families to raise funds in their hometowns, which was the most significant reason for finding a new format.
This year’s event takes place Saturday, Aug. 10 immediately following the dedication of the brand new Youth Arena at 5 p.m. Once the Coliseum reopens in 2014, the Celebration Awards will take place there. We are very excited to continue recognizing our champion 4-H’ers in a way that should continue to make lifelong memories for all involved.
