West Pavilion / Cattle Barn
As the largest cattle barn of its kind in the world, this facility is home to thousands of animals during the Fair.
Champions Pavilion / Draft Horse Barn
The Draft Horse has as long a tradition in Indiana agriculture as the farmer, and the Draft Horse Barn is the place to get up close and personal with Clydesdales, Percherons, Halflingers and Belgians. The Indiana State Fair is proud to stall the participants in the largest six-horse hitch competition in the U.S. and in 2014 the National Belgian Show, National Clydesdale Show and the National Haflinger Show.
The 4-H and Open Class Llamas and Alpacas are also in this barn.
The 28,000 sq. ft. Youth Arena opened for the 2013 Indiana State Fair and will continue to be a focal point for youth, agriculture, and educational programs.
Poultry & Rabbit Barn / Northwest Pavilion
In the Poultry / Rabbit Barn you are able to see baby chicks born daily, visit with the ducks and geese, talk to the pigeons, and ooh & aah over the countless bunny rabbits and Cavy. There are so many varieties of chickens. The rooster crowing contest also takes place here during the fair.
South Pavilion / Saddle Horse Barn
The Saddle Horse Barn is home to many horses that compete in the 4-H Horse and Pony Shows including donkeys, miniature horses, mules and ponies.
Blue Ribbon Pavilion / Sheep Barn
In addition to having all kinds of sheep throughout the Fair, you are also able to catch sheep shearing demonstrations in this building. The Indiana State Fair is also proud to be home to the National Open Shropshire Show.
The popular Sheep to Shawl contest where you can see how wool is made into usable goods took place in the Pioneer Village Opry House.
The Swine Barn holds approximately 2,300 pigs of 11 different breeds. Judging take place daily in the center ring. Many Fairgoers stop by to see the World's Largest Male Hog and the Champion Sow and litter, two attractions that leave big impressions on the little ones.
