The Indiana State Fair Commission has been asked for numerous documents relating to the accident at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. As the documents are identified and gathered, they will be posted on this site.
The ISFC contracted Chartis to obtain a Weather Insurance Policy to insure against rain for certain evening concert performances during the duration of the Indiana State Fair. Paul Poteet was hired by the ISFC pursuant to the terms of the Chartis contract as the meteorologist on site to monitor the total rain accumulation. The requirements for the insurance policy were not met on August 13, 2011.

Numerous requests for “Emergency Weather Plan” have been submitted. The below document is a copy of the year round emergency procedures in place for the Indiana State Fair Commission. Due to the sensitivity of the document and its information contained therein, the ISFC has made numerous redactions for security reasons prior to making the document available for public dissemination as authorized by IC 5-14-3-4(b)(10) and IC 5-14-3-4(b)(19).
The Emergency response plan for the ISFC
Numerous requests for “The Mid-America Contract” have been submitted. While gathering and identifying documents responsive to this request, we have compiled documents that provide insight into the negotiation of terms between the Indiana State Fair Commission and Mid-America Sound Corporation and are providing the linked documents to show the terms of the negotiation. The 2010 and 2011 Special Procurement Memorandum illustrates the course of dealing between these parties.
