2015 Statutory Changes

Effective July 1, 2015, there are substantive changes to the Physician Assistants Practice Act (IC 25-27.5) as enacted by House Enrolled Act 1183, which can be viewed here.  A copy of the full text of IC 25-27.5 can be found under Statutes & Rules in the Resources section below.
All practicing physician assistants are required to review their supervisory agreements annually.  As part of this review, physician assistants should ensure their supervisory agreements are in compliance with the statutory changes. If the only changes made are to conform to the new statutory provisions, the supervisory agreement does not need to be submitted to the Committee for review.  Please retain a copy though for the Committee to review, if requested, at a future date.
**A list of drug classifications in supervisory agreements is still required pursuant to IC 25-27.5-5-2(f)(4).**
If there any questions, please feel free to contact the Committee staff by the methods listed below.
