On July 1, 2014, the salesperson license will no longer be issued to initial applicants for real estate licensure. Before this date, currently licensed salespersons will need to complete a twenty-four (24) hour course in order to upgrade their license to a broker license. This course will serve as the required continuing education for these salesperson licensees for the period beginning on July 1, 2012 and ending June 30, 2014. Salespersons who complete the course will also need to apply for a broker license, and submit proof of completing the course along with the appropriate fees and forms.
Salespersons who wish to continue holding a license in "Inactive" or “Referral” status will need to renew their license by June 30, 2014. Notifications will be sent to licensees on or about April 1, 2014.Continuing Education
