Current rates for the City of Fort Wayne's municipal water utility were approved in October 2012.
The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission's (IURC's) 2012 order (21 pages) approved a settlement agreement among all of the rate case's formal parties (the City of Fort Wayne, the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor, the City of New Haven, and General Motors).
Under the agreement:
An IURC order (17 pages) approving rates for the case's 2nd and 3rd phases (2014 and 2015) was issued on December 18, 2013.
The OUCC's rate case settlement testimony (65 pages) offers additional information. To review settlement testimony from other parties and other documents in the rate case, please visit the IURC's public file and enter docket number 44162.
This case only affects the city's water rates. Municipal sewer and stormwater rates are not under IURC jurisdiction.
