Edwardsville Water Corporation, which serves customers in Floyd and Harrison Counties, is seeking IURC approval to raise rates and issue long-term debt.

A settlement agreement now pending before the IURC would set a new monthly residential water rate of $45.89 for 5,000 gallons.

The utility's original request would have raised the 5,000-gallon rate from $38.19 to $46.07. In testimony, the OUCC had recommended a rate of $45.57.

Edwardsville Water Corporation's current rates were approved in 2011.
