Geothermal Heat Pump Residential Rebate Program

In 2007, The Indiana Office of Energy & Defense Development launched a Geothermal Heat Pump (GHP) residential rebate program. This program, which made $500,000 in rebates available to Hoosiers seeking to upgrade their current heating and cooling systems to GHP, was the first state rebate program of its kind in the nation, and helped 326 homeowners reduce their energy costs, and their dependence on fossil fuels.
