OCRA > Indiana Rural Summit 2013 > Are You Interested in Becoming a Speaker? Are You Interested in Becoming a Speaker?

Tell Us Your Story

The theme for this year’s annual Indiana Rural Summit is Rural Voices and we want to hear yours. Some voices are telling us that rural America’s best days are behind them and that many rural communities are on life support.

In Indiana, we want to prove these voices wrong by telling our stories of hope, stories of engaged rural people, of thriving rural businesses and of caring rural neighbors. Specifically we’re interested in stories about community vibrancy, new economic engines, cultural heritages, and welcoming change, though we are open to all ideas.

The Indiana Rural Summit will be held on October 3-4, 2013 and we will feature different rural voices telling their stories with 10–15 minute impactful presentations. Afterwards, the conversations will continue in the Conversation Cafes where individuals can expand on their story, make new friends, and find new collaborators.

If you are interested in being considered for one of the available slots, you can send us a 60-second preview video and/or short essay of your story and why you think it should be heard.

Please pass this information along to others you think have a story to tell!
