eBooks are rapidly becoming an important part of every library’s holdings. Are you prepared to meet the challenges of your patrons who come in and require help with eReader devices? Does your staff need a little more time and practice with the various e-reader devices that are available out there?
The Indiana State Library has 10 eReader kits available for check out. Each kit contains each of the seven eReaders that are commercially available, including:
These kits are great for staff training days as well as individual workshops on e-books. An Indiana public or school library may obtain these kits by contacting the PDO at (317) 234-5650 or pdo@library.in.gov.
This listserv was created to give librarians a place to discuss eContent in their libraries and share tips and training materials.
The Indiana State Library held an eReader Forum on June 8, f2011. Over 50 public, academic and special librarians attended and provided input on how eReaders and eBooks are used statewide.
Please notify us of any new eBook/OverDrive consortiums so we can add them to this list.
