American Heraldry in Color, Volume I

This CD-ROM includes both historical and current examples of armorial bearings, mostly borne by United States residents and military personnel serving abroad. A few were borne by those closely associated with the founding and development of the United States. Many of the arms are domestic, while others originated in, or were later recognized by, foreign officers of arms.

Johns Family Album (2003)

This CD by David and Betty Herring contains information about the Johns family of Boone County and central Indiana. It includes text, genealogical charts, and tombstone photographs.

Pennsylvania State/County History Series, Volumes I-III, 1852 (3 discs)

Volume I contains the Memorial of the American Philosophical Society, and of The Historical Society of Philadelphia, and the Journal of the Council of the Province of Pennsylvania, covering the period of March 10, 1683 to November 27, 1700. Volume II contains the proceeding minutes of the Council of the Province of Pennsylvania from December 18, 1700 to May 16, 1717. Volume III contains the proceeding minutes of the Council from May 31, 1717 to January 23, 1736.

Pennsylvania State/County History Series, Volumes IV-VII, 1851 (4 discs)

The proceeding minutes of the Council of the Province of Pennsylvania are contained in Volume IV (February 7, 1736 to October 15, 1745), Volume V (December 17, 1745 to March 20, 1754), Volume VI (April 2, 1754 to January 29, 1756), and Volume VII (January 29, 1756 to January 11, 1758).

Pennsylvania State/County History Series, Volumes VIII-XI, 1851 (4 discs)

The proceeding minutes of the Council of the Province of Pennsylvania are contained in Volume VIII (January 13, 1757 to October 4, 1762), Volume IX (October 15, 1762 to October 17, 1771), and Volume X (October 18, 1771 to September 27, 1775). Volume X also contains the Minutes of the Council of Safety from June 30, 1775 to November 12, 1776. Volume XI contains the proceeding minutes of the Council of Safety from November 13, 1776 to May 20, 1779.

Pennsylvania State/County History Series, Volumes XII-XVI, 1853 (5 discs)

The proceeding minutes of the Supreme Executive Council are contained in Volume XII (May 21, 1779 to July 12, 1781), Volume XIII (July 13, 1781 to December 31, 1783), Volume XIV (January 1, 1784 to April 3, 1786), Volume XV (July 4, 1786 to February 6, 1789), and Volume XVI (February 7, 1789 to December 20, 1790).

This CD-ROM contains the General Index to the complete 16 volumes of the Colonial Series of the Pennsylvania Archives. Owen County (Indiana) Historical and Genealogical Society Records

Wills, A-J; Wills, K-R; Wills S-Z (3 discs)

All three wills CD-ROMs have an index of wills in alphabetical order, an index in numerical order, and images of the actual will documents in PDF format.

Land Records

This CD-ROM includes land entry and deed index books, Lister's Books 1819-1829, an 1876 Owen County map, Owen County boundaries, the 1843 tax list, and Spencer lot owners 1869.

Cemetery and Newspaper Records

The cemetery and burial records include over 50,000 entries through 2004. The newspaper records are an index of names and dates appearing in Owen County newspapers (primarily the Owen Leader) through 2003. Both are Microsoft Excel databases. 2005 county maps are also included.

Wills and Probate Records

This resource contains images from the probate order book and wills, 1819-1833; images of wills from about 1833 to about 1914, and images of the complete probate record book 1 (1826-1839). It also contains indexes to complete probate record books 1-3, probate files from about 1835-1871, probate files from about 1836 to about 1915, and significant names before 1850.

Vital Statistics

This CD-ROM contains Owen County, Indiana, birth records from 1882-1920, marriage records from 1819-1920, death records from 1882-1989, and divorce records from 1819 to about 1870.

Databases for the Study of Afro-Louisiana History and Genealogy, 1699-1860: Computerized Information from Original Manuscript Sources

This CD-ROM contains Gwendolyn Midlo Hall's Louisiana Slave Database, 1719-1820, and Louisiana Free Database, 1720-1820, as well as Louisiana censuses from 1699-1860, databases of New Orleans, Pensacola, and Mobile censuses from 1784-1850, images files, and sample documents.
