Occupation: Tourism Asset Coordinator for the Noble County Convention & Visitors Bureau

Education: B.S. in Computer Graphics Technology from Purdue University Calumet

State Representative David Ober was born and raised in Albion, Noble County. He attended Albion Elementary School and Central Noble Middle/High School where he graduated with a Core 40 diploma in ‘05.

After graduating from Central Noble, he attended Purdue University Calumet in Hammond where he studied Computer Graphics Technology. During his time at Purdue University Calumet, he was elected as student body president from ‘08/’09. He also interned for Proctor and Gamble with the Cognitive Research Group, working as a design manager in ‘08.

In fall of ‘09, he graduated with a B.S. in Computer Graphics and Technology. After college, he moved back to Noble County to work for KPC Media Group in Kendallville.

In July ‘12, he started his own consulting and web developing firm known as Vanguard Strategies in Albion.

As a newly elected legislator, he represents House District 82 which includes all of Noble County and portions of Allen, Elkhart, LaGrange and Whitley counties. Over the next two years, he has been selected to Vice Chair the Labor, Employment and Pensions Committee and serves as a member of the Agriculture and Rural Development and Government and Regulatory Reform committees.

Rep. Ober attends Berean Baptist Church in Albion with his family where he is active in the youth ministry. He is a member and incoming president of the Albion Lions Club and serves on the Noble County Public Library Board of Trustees where he is the immediate past president.
