Bill Davis was first elected to the General Assembly in 2004 and represents all of Jay County and portions of Randolph and Delaware Counties. As a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, Representative Davis was heavily involved in crafting two “honestly balance budgets” that included no tax increases.
As a result of his 32 years of experience with Meshberger Bros. Stone Corp. and its relativity to local and state road projects, Representative Davis was also appointed to the Roads and Transportation Committee.
Representative Davis is a strong advocate of more dollars to classrooms, less taxation, and more efficient government. He was successful in convincing House leadership to eliminate lifetime health care for legislators, a program instituted prior to his arrival at the Statehouse.
Bill has been active in Jay County having served on several committees and local boards. Bill and his wife Mary have been married for 43 years and attend Zion Lutheran Church in Portland.
