Synopsis: Indiana affordable housing fund. Establishes the Indiana affordable housing fund. Requires a local unit to allocate at least 50% of the money received in program grants to a nonprofit corporation, a public housing authority, or a unit of local government. Requires local units participating in the affordable housing fund to establish an affordable housing fund advisory committee. Sets forth the membership and duties of an affordable housing fund advisory committee. (This conference committee adds two additional members to each local affordable housing advisory to represent real estate brokers or salespersons and the construction trades.)

MR. SPEAKER:
    Your Conference Committee appointed to confer with a like committee from the Senate upon Engrossed Senate Amendments to Engrossed House Bill No. 1393 respectfully reports that said two committees have conferred and agreed as follows to wit:

    that the House recede from its dissent from all Senate amendments and that the House now concur in all Senate amendments to the bill and that the bill be further amended as follows:

    Page 3, between lines 34 and 35, begin a new line block indented and insert:

        (6) One (1) member appointed by the executive of the eligible entity to represent construction trades. The member appointed under this subdivision must be nominated to the executive by the local building trades council.".
    Page 3, line 35, delete "(5) Five" and insert " (7) Five".
