The Tax Court has exclusive jurisdiction over any case that arises under the Indiana tax laws and that is an initial appeal of a final determination made by the Indiana Department of State Revenue or the Indiana Board of Tax Review. Indiana Tax Court Judge Martha Blood Wentworth was recognized by her peers from across the United States by receiving the 2017 Lawrence L. Lasser Tax Judge of the Year, an award presented annually by the National Conference of State Tax Judges and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy.
