The Judicial Nominating Commission selected the Hon. Vicki L. Carmichael, the Hon. Christopher M. Goff, and the Hon. Matthew C. Kincaid as the three nominees for the Indiana Supreme Court. The Commission will submit a report to Governor Eric Holcomb in the upcoming days. Once the report is submitted, the Governor has 60 days to appoint one of the nominees to the Court.
Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush will make budget requests for the judicial branch for the 2018 and 2019 fiscal years on Thursday, March 16 at 11:00 am to the Senate Appropriations Committee in room 431 of the State House.
The requests to fund court operations such as technology, specialized courts, court interpreter programs, and civil legal aid make up less than 1% of the state budget.
