The Indiana Supreme Court held back-to-back productions of its interactive drama "Ex Parte Milligan Comes to Life" on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 10:00am and 12:00pm. Get teacher resources and supporting materials for this production.
In November 2008, Governor Mitch Daniels unveiled a new bust of Benjamin Harrison. In addition to the State House program, junior and senior aged students are invited to submit a one-page letter discussing how Benjamin Harrison was important to our country and to our state. The winner of the essay contest will be photographed with the bust at the State House (if possible) and the winning entry will be published in the bi-monthly publication of the President Benjamin Harrison Home, The Statesman. This newsletter has readership across the country in addition to all points in Indiana (and will also be available online).
You can find information about Harrison by visiting www.presidentbenjaminharrison.org, or by reading some of the following books: "Benjamin Harrison Our Twenty-Third President," by Sandra Francis or a biography by Harry Sievers: "Hoosier Warrior," "Hoosier Statesman," or "Hoosier President."
