It is the applicant’s responsibility to read and meet all of the Requirements of Admission & Discipline Rule 27.  Any application that does not meet all of the requirements of Rule 27 will be returned.

Complete and File with the Board of Law Examiners:

  1. The original and one copy of:
    1. Application
    2. Attorney Listing Cover Page
    3. Exhibit Attachment listing all attorneys
    4. Filing fee of $200 plus $10 for each attorney listed on Exhibit Attachment, make check payable to Board of Law Examiners
  2. The original and one copy of:
    1. Clerk of the Supreme Court Certification
    2. Exhibit Attachment listing all attorneys (this is the same document as 1c above, but must also be included with the Clerk’s Certification)
    3. Fee in the amount of $1.00 for each attorney listed on Exhibit Attachment, make check payable to Clerk of the Supreme Court
  3. The original and one copy of:
    1. Disciplinary Commission Certification
    2. Exhibit Attachment listing all attorneys (this is the same document as 1c above,   but must also be included with the Disciplinary Commission Certification)
  4. Proof of Insurance/Copy of signed Declarations Page or “Other Form of Adequate Financial Responsibility” showing compliance with Rule 27 § (g) and (h)
  5. An original and three (3) copies of:
    1. Articles of Incorporation (PC), Organization (LLC) or Registration (LLP) *
    2. Fee in the amount of $90.00 made payable to the Secretary of State


Submit all completed forms and fees (including those listed in paragraph 5) to:

Upon approval of the Articles of Incorporation/Organization/Registration by the Secretary of State, the Board of Law Examiners will issue a Certificate of Registration.  Upon the issuing of the Certificate of Registration, all receipts & certificates, along with a file stamped copy of the Articles of Incorporation/Organization/Registration will be mailed to the organization.

A minimum of 60 days is required for the processing of any application.
