The Indiana Supreme Court has approved changes to the Child Support Guidelines effective January 1, 2010. Child support calculators based on the amended guidelines are available below.
For Parents
Use this calculator to estimate weekly child support payments and produce forms for use in court. Answer questions in four steps about children, income, parenting time, health care and other costs and generate only the forms you need to file. Save calculations securely and retrieve them later or share them with other parties to the case or your attorney.
Find forms with instructions for cases involving child support (and other case types), as well as guides for representing yourself in court and tools to help you prepare court papers for filing.
Even if you don't hire a lawyer to handle your case, you may want to talk with a lawyer before filing legal documents (or papers) with the court. Here you can find information about how to get legal help, including how to find low cost or no cost legal aid (pro bono).
For Practitioners
Use this calculator to estimate weekly child support payments and produce forms for use in court. Answer questions in two steps about children, income, parenting time, health care and other costs and generate only the forms you need to file. Save calculations securely and retrieve them later or share them with parties to the case, mediators, or judicial officers.
Known Bug in Practitioners Calculator
Download a Windows version of the Practitioners Calculator to install and use with or without an Internet connection. Store calculations and forms on your PC, or enable web sharing options to save calculations online or load a saved calculation created with one of the online calculators.
Get the updated child support forms in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF format. The PDF forms can be filled in on the computer and then printed for easier readability.
For Both Parents and Practitioners
Updated January 1, 2010 - The new Indiana Child Support Guidelines include an updated schedule for calculation of support, a new Health Insurance Premiums Worksheet, and other changes.
Updated March 28, 2008 - The Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines are based on the premise that it is usually in a child's best interest to have frequent, meaningful and continuing contact with each parent, and so are designed to help parents make decisions on parenting time.
