Today the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission approved a refund proposed by Indianapolis Power and Light.
The Company will compensate customers who were without power for more than 48 hours after the July 8th storms.† The $100 payments to customers will be in the form of a credit to the customerís electric bill or a check, at the utilityís discretion.†
The company assured the Commission that the money for the payments will not come from ratepayer funds, either now or in the future.†††
The first payments will be made in 60-days.†
The IURCís investigation into the companyís response to the July 8th storm will continue.
