The information below is directed toward applicants invited to the Polygraph Examination phase for the 74th Indiana State Police selection process.

Step 1:  Look up your assigned examination date, time and location.  Using the Applicant Identification Number you were given at the written exam, look up your information on the 2nd Polygraph Invitation List

To view location information, click here.

NOTE: All times are Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Step 2:  Obtain a set of fingerprints at a certified facility prior to your scheduled Polygraph Examination, if possible.  The fee should not exceed $9.95.  Applicants required to pay in excess of that amount should keep the receipt, and provide a copy to Sergeant Antwaun Johnson as soon as possible.  To schedule your fingerprint appointment at a location near you, follow the instructions in the IN Fingerprint Scheduling ISP document.

NOTE: If you have obtained fingerprints for any other background purpose (i.e. previous selection process, firearms checks, employment, military, etc.) you will still need to have a new set of fingerprints completed.

Step 3:  Complete the 74th Indiana State Police Supplemental Background History report.

Name the document using the following format:

Last name, First name, MI, Applicant ID#, B-GROUND SUPP

Example:  “Doe, John, A, 74-####, B-GROUND SUPP”

Send your completed report to ajohnson@isp.in.gov and cc: sreliford@isp.in.gov.

Supplemental Background History reports must be submitted by January 6, 2014 @ 8:00 pm by only those applicants whose Applicant ID#s appear on the 2nd Polygraph Invitation List.  Additional polygraph invitation information will be forthcoming with an updated submission due date.

NOTE:  All applicants that receive a polygraph exam will NOT automatically be selected to continue to the background investigation.

Step 4:  Arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled reporting time with your driver’s license.  Failure to report as indicated above will eliminate you from the selection process for the 74th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy.
