Location of Offense:  Rush/Decatur County line road 1/2 mile east of SR 3

Circumstances:  On 09/28/1974, Eugene W. Sefton was found deceased by a family member at his home located on the Rush/Decatur County line road approximately ½ mile east of SR 3.  No forced entry was detected; however, it appears a struggle occurred inside the residence.  Mr. Sefton’s vehicle, a black vinyl over dark blue, 1974, Chevrolet, Chevelle was missing from the residence.  This vehicle was later located abandoned in a secluded area near Ft. Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.
