Indiana is fortunate to have several resources available for dental treatment, ranging from private dentists to community dental clinics. Listed below are a few organizations and programs to help you locate treatment options.

These programs provide dental treatment services and generally are operated by local health departments, community health centers, hospitals and other organizations within a community, including private practices. The programs typically serve patients covered by Medicaid and offer sliding-fee schedules, reduced fees or free care to patients who can't afford to pay a private dentist.
1) Safety Net Solutions Dental Care Programs provide clinical dental services and generally are operated by local health departments, community health centers, hospitals and other organizations that serve the community. Indiana has approximately 66 programs that provide comprehensive, preventive and emergency services.

2) Hoosier Healthwise (HHS) is the State of Indiana’s healthcare program for children, pregnant women, and families with low income. Based on family income, children up to age 19 may be eligible for coverage. HHW covers medical care like doctor visits, prescription medicine, mental health care, dental care, hospitalizations, surgeries, and family planning at little or no cost to the member or the member’s family.
