The Public Health Geographics (PHG) team collaborates with many ISDH divisions, state agencies and community partners to provide comprehensive geospatial support in statistical analysis, application development and mapping. The foundation of PHG entails measuring or detecting patterns and relationships within health data and effectively presenting actionable information. Concurrently, PHG coordinates Geographic Information System (GIS) activities within the agency. For more details, explore the following:

Explore Data From Your Desktop with Map Viewer
The ISDH Map Viewer is a resource for viewing the distribution of Indiana health statistics and identifying community health assets. Capabilities include: investigating county data and statistics, loading your own county data for mapping, exploring locations of health or health-related activities, loading your own sites into the map, defining areas of interest, identifying and measuring locations within areas of interest, mashing-up webmaps from other sources, and loading custom menus developed for specific projects. Features are still being enhanced and added. ISDH PHG does not guarantee the accuracy of the content provided in the Map Viewer. The Map Viewer should currently only be used for exploratory purposes.
