800 MHZ Rebanding > Project Team Project Team

The state of Indiana holds the licenses for the frequencies used on Project Hoosier SAFE-T, and thus, the role of handling the 800 MHz rebanding project falls upon us. With more than 600 user agencies and 28,000 radios on the system, rebanding is a herculian task. The IPSC consists of a very small staff of 10 - pulling staff and resources away from our priority of building and maintaining the SAFE-T system was impossible.

For the purpose of fulfilling its obligations under the FCC’s Orders, the State of Indiana has engaged EMR Consulting - a State of Indiana Certified Woman Owned Business Enterprise located in Indianapolis. - to channel the process.  EMR Consulting, Inc. (EMR) has executed Subcontractor Agreements with seven Indiana based Radio Service Shops to perform the necessary tasks to ensure all radios operating on the affected State of Indiana communication systems will operate on the new 800 MHz channels.

Steve Skinner, IPSC staff, is the Rebanding Coordinator for the project. Please direct all questions about rebanding through him. Steve's email is sskinner@ipsc.in.gov. His phone number is 317.233.8625.
