Confessions handbook (updated 2013) : A 70+-page outline to be used as a starting point in litigating the Fifth, Sixth and Fourteenth Amendment issues in cases involving confessions. Examples of state and federal case law and possible arguments are provided for assistance in beginning research, and a chart demonstrating the application and overlap of constitutional protections. Updated every two years.

Criminal Trial Law, 7th edition (2013): offers a systematic and comprehensive analysis of issues in criminal trials. Within these pages you will find a good starting point for research and quick citations to legal authority for an objection

Evidence, 6th edition (2011): Organized around the Indiana Rules of Evidence to provide fast, accurate answers to evidentiary issues. Also includes practice pointers, suggested arguments to preserve issues for appeal and citations to relevant controlling and persuasive authority .

Expungement, 1st edition (2013): A Guide to seeking expungement under Indiana’s new law at Ind. Code 35-38-9-9.

Defending a Capital Case (2013): Nuts and bolts guide to death penalty defense, with links to over 350 additional resources and sample pleadings.

Juvenile delinquency, 4th edition (2009): Covers the latest legislative changes, home detention and speedy trial rights; DOC placement matrix; making arguments for jury trials; a time line of critical dates;statutory and constitutional rights of juveniles; practice pointers; search and seizure law. Along with information on juvenile precedent and procedures, the new edition also includes sample motions for juvenile court cases, as well as contact information for organizations providing information and assistance in the area of juvenile law .

LWOP Defense (updated 2013): Nuts and bolts guide to special issues that arise in a murder case when the state seeks Life Without Parole.  Additional resources and sample pleadings on CD-ROM.

Pretrial Manual, 6th edition (updated 2013): Criminal pre-trial practice and procedure manual; includes discussions, practice tips and checklists; explains case law.

Representing Clients with Mental Illness (2008): 17 chapters in 4 sections plus appendix, including: recognizing and working with mentally ill clients; legal issues and procedures; mental health expert investigation and evaluation; developing, presenting and challenging mental health evidence at trial. Search and Seizure Handbook (2011): A 100+-page outline to be used as a starting point in litigating search and seizure. It will help you spot appropriate issues and gives relevant case law. In addition it provides novel arguments from other jurisdictions that have not yet been addressed in Indiana. Updated yearly
