Chad Lewis grew up in southern Indiana and attended Scottsburg High School. He received his BS in Accounting from Western Kentucky University and his JD from IU School of Law, Bloomington. He is licensed to practice law in Indiana and Kentucky. He has been the elected Prosecutor for Jefferson County for the past 6 years. He has served on the board of directors for the Association of Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys for the past 4 years and is currently serving as the President of the board. Chad is a founding board member for the Region 15 Child Advocacy Center. The Region 15 center, which serves six southeastern counties, opened in 2009 and has conducted over 1000 forensic interviews. Chad is a founding member of the Jefferson County Drug Court where he personally serve as a member of the Drug Court Team. Chad currently serves Jefferson County as a member of the Community Corrections Advisory Board, as a member of the board of directors for the Jefferson County Coalition Against Substance Abuse, and as a member of the board of LifeSpring Community Mental Health. He previously served on the board of directors for the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce.
