Indiana Office of Technology

The Indiana Office of Technology (IOT) was created by the legislature in July 2005 with a goal of establishing standards for a technological infrastructure that improved and expanded the electronic services offered by the state. IOT’s mission is to provide cost-effective, secure, consistent, reliable enterprise technology services to its partner agencies so they can better serve Hoosier taxpayers.

IOT serves all of the executive branch agencies and has strategic partnerships with cities, counties, colleges and universities and Indiana’s separately elected officials.

IOT services include:

·         Network cabling

·         Wide-Area Networks (WAN)

·         Telephony

·         Data Center Management

·         Writing and developing web applications

·         Hosting applications

·         Mainframe, Midrange and Windows servers

·         Enterprise software and application solutions

·         Website maintenance and support

·         Data analytics

·         Network storage

·         Virtual servers

·         Geographic Information Office

o    Mapping of entire state, including waterways and land surveying

·         E-mail account operations

·         Webpage creation

·         Domain purchasing and hosting

·         Evaluate technology purchases for other agencies

·         Enterprise software purchasing and support

·         Project management services
