WebTrends is a web analytics solution that captures Web site visitor behavior and allows agencies to report against that data. The solution is comprised of multiple software components providing a complete and flexible tool for measuring various aspect of IN.gov's Web site traffic.

Because the tool is highly configurable, it is capable of meeting the vast requirements of the state.  Information gathered from Webtrends reports allows agencies to improve constituent’s IN.gov experience, determine what content drives constituent engagement, justify Web 2.0 and other Web site investments, and get an overall top-line view of how the Web site is performing.

The solution performs the following:

  • Benchmarks Web site information;
  • Captures information about what happens on a site or a specific page;
  • Analyzes behavior on the site, page or specific functionality;
  • Analyzes search engine and Web site referrer statistics;
  • Provides intelligence about the visitors of the Web site.

WebTrends allows IN.gov to provide agencies with a variety of valuable reports and real-time analysis of Web site visitors' behaviors. This enables meaningful information to be provided to agencies about their Web site visitors, including trends, behaviors and return visitors.

The latest WebTrends Marketing upgrade lets agencies identify marketing results, track and measure campaign performances, and answer other agency specific questions regarding constituent behavior due to Web site marketing efforts.
