Make sure your bank account is set up to allow ACH pulls from INPRS.
Beginning with the first wage and contribution submission through ERM, all employer/employee contributions will be submitted via an ACH debit file. If your bank account is not set up to allow ACH pulls from INPRS, the payment will be rejected. This can cause late payment, and potential fines and penalties.
To prevent an ACH debit block, you should verify with your bank whether or not a debit block service is in place. If so, confirm that INPRS has been authorized to debit the account.

In addition, add your bank information to ERM as soon as possible. This allows the account to be verified and any issues to be resolved prior to the first wage and contribution submission. If your ACH payment rejects, you will be contacted by an EPPA representative to help you resolve issues or make a payment.
What is a Debit Block?
Many organizations use a banking service called ACH debit block to prevent unauthorized ACH debits. This service can block all ACH debits or allow only authorized vendors to debit the account.
