Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS) > My Fund > Public Employees > PERF Hybrid Plan FAQs > Can I get an estimate of my retirement benefits? Can I get an estimate of my retirement benefits?

If you are a member of the PERF Hybrid plan and within 24 months of retirement, you may request a written estimate of your retirement benefits from INPRS.

INPRS suggests you get an estimate as early as possible in order to begin planning. Should you be actively considering retiring, remember that you should submit the actual retirement application no later than 90 days before your final day in pay status.

To get your estimate, simply:

  • Request a benefit estimate request form from your employer or PERF or download it from the Web site.
  • Complete this form, and send it to PERF.

From the information furnished on this form, one of PERF's retirement counselors will prepare a written estimate of your benefits and mail it to you.

At any time, you may use the Benefits Calculator on this site to approximate your retirement benefit. Although this calculation is not as accurate as an official estimate of benefits, it can help you understand how various options might affect your retirement.

Counseling Before Retirement

INPRS offers hundreds of retirement benefit workshops throughout the state. At these workshops, you will receive information regarding your potential benefit, how your retirement plan works, and assistance in completing a retirement application.

In addition, a limited number of one-on-one appointments are available with INPRS retirement consultants.

You may register online for a workshop, or by calling our customer service center at (888) 526-1687.
