Morgan County Bridge No. 44 is a one-lane, single-span, earth-filled reinforced concrete arch bridge with a bituminous pavement deck and wearing surface.  The structure was constructed in 1920 and was repaired in 1996.  The bridge carries Peavine Road over Stotts Creek.  The bridge has been determined eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places, but is not select for preservation, per the Programmatic Agreement Regarding Management and Preservation of Indiana's Historic Bridges.   

Depending on the outcome of the Section 106 consultation process, interested parties may be able to utilize the bridge.  Proposals will also be accepted for the salvage of elements that may be stored for future repair of similar historic bridges.
