The Indiana Gang Network (INGangNetwork) is a statewide criminal gang intelligence database. The intelligence entered in the INGangNetwork database can be accessed by members via mobile devices or desktop application, allowing all law enforcement and criminal justice personnel to enter and share intelligence on gang membership and activity.

Recently, INGangNetwork has collaborated with CI Technologies and the Integrated Public Safety Commission to provide INGangNetwork alerts, via the InterAct mobile application, to all Computer Aided Dispatch/Records Management System (CAD/RMS) users. Alerts from the INGangNetwork statewide database will significantly increase gang awareness, heighten knowledge of possible dangers, and ultimately increase the safety of law enforcement and criminal justice personnel.

How It Works
When a public safety official makes an inquiry, the InterAct mobile system will create several queries simultaneously (NCIC, BMV, RMS, INGangNetwork, and several more). If an individual is linked to a record, the INGangNetwork database will be presented in the candidate list with source information. The person or vehicle will be represented in RED, indicating a causation alert. No alarm will sound. If users would like more information and are members of INGangNetwork, they can simply log into their INGangNetwork account. If a user is not a member of INGangNetwork, he or she may learn how to become a member by visiting: http://www.in.gov/iifc/2396.htm. If a user has a criminal predicate and is in need of immediate assistance, he or she may contact the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center (IIFC) via email at iifc@iifc.in.gov.

If no record is presented, no response will be received. A message at the bottom of the candidate’s list will indicate the number of databases checked/returned with a negative response.
