Dr. Dennis Brooks, Consultant

Dennis has served Indiana public school children for twenty-five years as an elementary teacher, special education teacher, special education director, public school superintendent, and senior advisor to Indiana State School Superintendent, Dr. Tony Bennett.  Dennis earned his B.S. from Wright State University, M.S. and Ed.S. from Indiana State University, and doctorate from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Sarah W. Cudahy, Esq., General Counsel and PIO

Sarah began her legal career as a judicial law clerk for Justice Theodore Boehm of the Indiana Supreme Court.  She then worked in Chicago as a Labor & Employment Associate at Barnes & Thornburg LLP, and later the labor and employment law firm of Laner Muchin, Ltd. Sarah graduated summa cum laude from Boston University with a B.A. in Education, Public Policy, and European Studies.  She earned her law degree from Washington University in St. Louis.

Chris Greisl, Esq.,  Director of Conciliation

Chris has been IEERB’s Director of Conciliation since 2013. Prior to joining IEERB, Chris served as Labor Policy Counsel at the Indiana Department of Education. In addition to his role as Labor Policy Counsel, Chris served as counsel to the Indiana Case Review Panel which oversaw IHSAA transfer cases, as well as counsel to the Indiana State School Bus Committee. Chris graduated from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2011 (cum laude). Chris earned a B.A in history (cum laude) from Wabash College in 2007.  He is also the staff ALJ.

Stacey Hughes, Ph.D., Research Director 

Stacey has served Indiana public school children as a high school science teacher, high school principal, superintendent, assistant superintendent at the Indiana Department of Education, and education consultant.  Stacey received her B.S. from Indiana University, Bloomington, M.S. from Indiana University Purdue University, Fort Wayne, and Ph.D. from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. 

Maureen Johnson, Administrative Assistant 

Maureen has served as IEERB Research Secretary and Administrative Assistance.  During her tenure at IEERB she coordinated the efforts to digitize IEERB records and continues to assist IEERB staff with case filings, data collection, and office management.  Maureen graduated from Bishop Chatard High School and Ivy Tech.
