Home State means a state, district, or territory of the United States in which an independent adjuster maintains their principal place of residence or business, and is licensed to act as a resident independent adjuster.
The independent adjuster is eligible to designate Indiana as the home state if the individual's principal place of residence does not license independent adjusters and is currently licensed in another state.
At this time only paper applications for designated home state, (DHS), are being taken. This will be available electronically in 2012. Please click the following link to obtain the paper application: NAIC Individual Adjuster Application
