Compliance and Technical Assistance Program

CTAP > Featured Topics > June 2014: IDEM Offers Incentive to Enroll in NetDMR June 2014: IDEM Offers Incentive to Enroll in NetDMR

Until the end of the year, IDEM is offering an incentive for any Indiana certified Wastewater Operator who prepares DMRs, Monthly Monitoring Reports (MMR) or Monthly Reports of Operation (MRO).

If the enrollment process for NetDMR is completed and DMRs and MMRs/MROs have begun to be submitted utilizing NetDMR, for the first time, by December 31, 2014, IDEM will grant four technical contact hours toward the renewal of a Wastewater Operator’s license.

This applies to Indiana certified Wastewater Operators who have not previously submitted DMRs using the NetDMR application. This incentive is only available once per person and once per permit.

To begin the enrollment process for NetDMR, please contact your area inspector or travel to IDEM’s NetDMR website and begin the process yourself. Once the enrollment process has been completed and a complete and accurate DMR has been successfully submitted utilizing NetDMR, a Wastewater Operator/Apprentice Continuing Education Credit Report - State Form 51139 (available on the IDEM Forms page) may be submitted to the Office of Water Quality’s (OWQ) Compliance Branch, along with the IDEM confirmation e-mail stipulating the successful submittal of the DMR using NetDMR (live/production) to receive the four technical contact hours incentive.

The U.S. EPA has proposed a new federal rule, the NPDES Electronic Reporting Rule, which will require all NPDES permit holders to submit/report NPDES compliance information electronically. This is an opportunity to obtain the incentive and begin utilizing NetDMR before it is mandated. For more information on this offer, please contact Mark Stanifer at (317) 232-8431 or Rose McDaniel at (317) 233-2653.
