Chapter 1 - Section IV: How to Contact and IDEM Employee

To find an employee’s telephone number, please visit the Online State Telephone Number Directory. To contact an employee by e-mail: As a general rule, e-mail addresses are composed of the first letter of the name, followed by the first seven letters of the last name, followed by “@idem.in.gov.”

For example:

  • Name: Jane Doe
    • E-mail: jdoe@idem.in.gov

If the last name has two surnames, only the first surname will be used:

  • Name: Jane Doe-Smith
    • E-mail: jdoe@idem.in.gov
