IC 13-25-3

Certain transfers of real property in Indiana require a transferor to complete a disclosure document that provides information concerning environmental conditions on the property. The applicable law is the Responsible Property Transfer Law (RPTL), Indiana Code (IC) 13-25-3. Please review RPTL and related definitions found in IC 13-11-2 to determine whether you are required to complete the "Environmental Disclosure for Transfer of Real Property" form as part of your transaction.

The Environmental Disclosure for Transfer of Real Property form is available on the IDEM Forms page.

Pursuant to IC 13-25-3-8, a copy of the completed disclosure document should be filed with IDEM:

Indiana Department of Environmental Management
Office of Land Quality MC66-30
100 N. Senate Avenue IGCN 1101
Indianapolis, IN 46204

Phone: (317) 234-0338
