The marker is located at the corner of Illinois and Merrill Streets just south of the main post office in Indianapolis.

It was a good crowd at the July 2, 2004 dedication.

The Sierra Club Hoosier Chapter applied for the marker and was in attendance at the July 2, 2004 dedication.
