Programs

  • Evansville Psychiatric Children's Center (EPCC) employs the Social Opportunities to Achieve Recovery program as its psychoeducational model to help shape children’s behaviors. It is based on the Boys’ Town program . EPCC acquired this program in 2008 with the help of a grant from Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. All clinical and direct care staff are trained to implement this program.

  • Common Sense Parenting is an eight week program for the parents of EPCC’s children. This program is also based on the Boys’ Town curriculum. The classes are designed to help parents continue to shape their child’s behaviors and form positive family interactions once the child returns home.

  • Therapeutic programming is provided from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week. These programs are led by our masters of social work therapists and recreational therapists. Occupational therapy and art and music therapy is also provided.
