Special Education Video Resources

The following video resources were produced in partnership between the Effective Evaluation Research Center and IN*SOURCE, Indiana Resource Center for Families with Special Needs.  

A Parent's Guide to Preschool Special Education Services: This video is comprised of eight modules that review each step of what happens after a family contacts the public school special education system with questions including referral, parent rights, evaluation, case conference, the evaluation report, and eligibility. People who would benefit from viewing this video include parents considering or coming into the school special education referral process and providers and referral sources who need to provide information and support families' questions about the process of referral, evaluation, and IEP planning.

Similarities and Differences between First Steps and Public Preschool Special Education Therapy Services: This video is comprised of nine modules that explain the similarities and differences between First Steps and public preschool special education therapy services in terms of their therapy models, eligibility determination, intensity and frequency in service delivery, service plans, what therapy looks like, family involvement, and payment for services.
