The Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning (OECOSL) is pleased to announce the release of a Request for Funds (RFF) opportunity to award grant funds for statewide Workforce and Professional Development Services.

Workforce and Professional Development Services includes the administration of scholarship programs for early education professionals seeking a Child Development Associates Credential (CDA), Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and the development of early childhood professional development system components such as the Indiana Early Education Career Pathways and Core Knowledge and Competencies. Workforce and Professional Development Services also includes coaching and technical assistance for providers enrolled on Indiana's quality rating and improvement system, Paths to QUALITY™. Successful respondent will be responsible for the expansion of articulation agreements among Indiana institutions of higher education and the development of needed credentials and certificates to ensure high quality early education that results in positive child development outcomes. Successful respondent must participate in the Indiana Professional Development Network and convene the Higher Articulation Forum. More details can be found within the RFF.

The State will be awarding one grant. Grantee is responsible for the statewide implementation of all requirements of the Scope of Work.

OTHER GRANT OPPORTUNITIES

The Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning is pleased to announce the release of a Request for Funds (RFF) opportunity to award grant funds for Local Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) services.

Local Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies provide comprehensive services to families, providers and the community including community outreach activities and consumer education on Early Care and Education (ECE) and Out-of-School-Time (OST) programs, including referrals to families looking for ECE, including Pre-K programs and/or OST programs. CCR&Rs also provide extensive professional development services for providers including training and technical assistance, enrollment activities and coaching for the State's quality rating and improvement system, Paths to QUALITY™.  More details can be found within the RFF.

The State will be awarding nine grants, one for each of the local Service Delivery Areas (SDA). Respondents may bid on more than one SDA if desired; however, respondents must agree to provide all services to all counties within the SDA bid on.

Do you operate an unlicensed registered child care ministry in Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Marion or Morgan County? Are you interested in increasing your quality of care for children and families and possibly advancing through the Levels of Paths to Quality? If so, you may qualify for educational enhancements for your program including free training and technical assistance, a multitude of curriculum resources and materials, literacy programs, and grant funding for facilities improvements from United Way of Central Indiana!
