Business Education Outreach Program
According to the Small Business Administration, 49 percent of businesses fail in the first five years. One factor that can contribute to the failure of new or small businesses is a failure to understand tax obligations.
To address this issue, the Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) launched the Business Education Outreach Program. This program is designed to help businesses receive taxpayer education and advice earlier in the business formation process. The program offers free tax presentations to Hoosier organizations. These in-person presentations discuss important tax information for new and small businesses, specialty businesses, tax volunteers, and others and allow attendees the opportunity to have questions answered by an experienced DOR representative.
