Oct. 12, 2010
New county income taxes changes were reported for Cass, Hancock and Jay counties. These new rates are effective Oct. 1, 2010.
The list of these changes and rates for all 92 Indiana counties are available at the Indiana Department of Revenue’s website. Businesses with employees that live or work in any of these three counties will need to begin applying the new rates to employee tax withholdings.
The Indiana legislature allows counties to change their rates for effective dates of Oct. 1, Nov. 1, 2010 and Dec. 1, 2010. The Indiana Department of Revenue will publish any further rate changes to their website on the respective future dates.
