Running a business has its rewards, as well as its challenges. And the Indiana Department of Revenue is here to help you meet some of those challenges with INtax.

INtax (https://www.intax.in.gov/) is the Department of Revenue’s online business-tax-filing program that allows businesses to manage and pay its state business taxes.

Here are just a few things a business can do through using INtax:

  • Correspond with the Department of Revenue online through a confidential secure inbox.
  • File and pay sales, out-of-state sales, prepaid and metered-pump sales, tire-fee sales, payroll withholding taxes and more.
  • Order coupons to pay your sales and payroll withholding taxes.
  • Register a new (or additional) business.
  • Schedule payments for future due dates of taxes.
  • Use multiple payment options such as electronic check, electronic funds transfer (EFT) and credit cards.
  • View your Department of Revenue account balances at any time.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2010, legislation is now requiring new businesses that register with the Department of Revenue to use INtax to manage and pay its sales and withholding taxes.

Many taxpayers using INtax are extremely satisfied with this online tool. In a recent survey, 93 percent of INtax users said they were satisfied and would recommend INtax to others.
