The Indiana Conservancy Act
Description of how an area with a water resource related problem may become its own municipality through this Act in order that they may resolve that problem. Conservancy Districts are formed to create a tax base to solve any of the following needs:
- Flood Prevention and Control,
- Improving Drainage,
- Providing Irrigation,
- Providing Water Supply,
- Providing Wastewater Treatment Capabilities,
- Developing Water-related Recreational Facilities,
- Topsoil Loss Prevention,
- Stream Flow Augmentation, and
- Operation, Maintenance or Improvement of Any of the Above Pre-existing Facilities
