Sandstone Bluff near Shoals is featured in a photography exhibition at the IMA Columbus gallery.
Preserving Place: Reflections of Indiana is a juried photographic exhibition sponsored by The Nature Conservancy in Indiana and the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
On display at the IMA's Columbus gallery until June 29, the exhibit reflects photographers' personal reaction to and beliefs about the land. Outdoor Indiana photographer Richard Fields has been invited to show a photograph in the exhibit.
The exhibit will premiere at the IMA-Columbus gallery and then tour throughout Indiana. Photographers were encouraged to visit and photograph Nature Conservancy sites for subject matter, but were not limited to these sites.
Preserving Place is a companion
exhibition to the nationally touring exhibition In Response to Place: Photographs
from The Nature Conservancy's Last Great Places, which will be featured
at the Indianapolis Museum of Art from May 11 through Aug. 3, 2003.
