Common Name: Indiana Bat

Scientific Name: Myotis sodalis
Location: The Indiana Bat lives in the eastern United States in the summer. During winter, however, they cluster together and hibernate in only a few caves.
Diet: Night flying insects
Status: Endangered
Fun Fact: Only vampire bats feed on the blood of animals, such as pigs or cows.  Vampire bats do not live in Indiana.
