Preserving Historic Places: Indiana's Statewide Preservation Conference

DHPA partners with Indiana University and Indiana Landmarks to host this annual statewide conference which serves as the official forum for preservation issues in Indiana.

Cemetery Preservation Workshop

GravestoneThere are no state laws that describe the techniques for preservation of cemeteries and gravestones. There are best practices and standards to meet to assure that you are preserving the site in a way that will not eventually lead to damage. Each year the Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology co-sponsors with the Indiana Historical Society a series of workshops to teach the skills needed in cemetery preservation.
