Post-War Residential Development and Planning Workshop
Save the Date: DNR-DHPA and INDOT will be hosting a Residential Development & Planning Workshop in Indianapolis on Nov. 8. The workshop will provide guidance for following the Residential Planning and Development in Indiana, 1940-1973 National Register of Historic Places Multiple Property Documentation Form. INDOT Qualified Professional consultants are encouraged to attend this workshop to better understand how to adopt the identification and evaluation methods set forth in the MPDF to INDOT Section 106 documentation. More specific workshop details, including exact time and place in the near future,are coming soon, so check back soon.
Preserving Historic Places: Indiana's Statewide Preservation Conference
DHPA partners with Indiana University and Indiana Landmarks to host this annual statewide conference which serves as the official forum for preservation issues in Indiana.
Section 106/ Environmental Review Training
These sessions are focused on the "need to know" information for completing environmental reviews in Indiana. Do you want to learn what information to provide to get your review through the process quickly? How do you determine if a property is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places? Did you know Indiana has an online database that you can access from anywhere to do your research?
Indiana Women's History Conference
The Indiana Historical Bureau, the Indiana State Library and DNR DHPA will host “Hoosier Women at Work: Women and the Arts,” a women’s history symposium on April 6, 2018, at the Harrison Center in Indianapolis. Call for papers and more information to come.
This one-day conference will explore and expand knowledge of women’s contributions to Indiana through their labor via speakers, presentations and panel discussions.
Cost is $20 and includes lunch.
